TEAM DND: CAREER RESEARCH
The career research work of LINC@Arellano students, batch 2016
INTRODUCTION
Growing up, I always felt comfortable working with numbers. I’ve always enjoyed solving puzzles and logic problems. However, growing up, I always wanted a career in the arts. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a fashion designer. I would always look at fashion sketches in newspapers and magazines. Then, I wanted to be an interior designer. When I became a teenager, I then wanted to become a writer.
I think that it’s natural to have shifting career goals while growing up. As we get exposed to different things and experiences, our preferences change. Now that I’m about to graduate from high school, I have to make a final decision as to what career path I will take. I’m taking into consideration several factors: my talents, hobbies, and skills. So far, I’m looking at becoming a CPA.
CPA stands for Certified Public Accountant. I believe that it’s the career for me, because it’s aligned to my natural inclinations and my interests. I personally know a couple accountants, and according to them, being good with numbers and logic is important. I am interested to learn more about this career path, though, before coming up with a decision. Before enrolling in college and committing myself to a course, I need to know several things about the job. That is the purpose behind this research paper.
